'Ave Mater' - Etiqueta para botella de vino

Siempre me ha gustado el collage, y en especial, el digital, porque permite crear universos inesperados y un equilibrio entre el control de los elementos y la sorpresa de los 'accidentes' felices.
Con este curso he aprendido trucos profesionales muy útiles para depurar mi trabajo.
Me apasiona el diseño de etiquetas de vino, así que con este proyecto he encontrado la excusa perfecta para por fin diseñar una. Como no tenía un brief real, 'Ave Mater' es un nombre que me he inventado: es un juego de palabras con 'Ave María', del latín y la representación visual del ave como animal, que es a su vez 'mater': madre. La madre que da origen al vino, resulta que tiene aspecto de pájaro.
Y así nace el concepto para la ilustración. Primero me centré en componer la figura central de la madre ave, para después rellenar el espacio con lhojas de parra y uvas. Intenté mantener una paleta desaturada de estilo 'vintage', con contrastes y armonías.
Por último añadí los elementos tipográficos, intentado integrarlos en la composición.

Teacher PlusBeautiful project, Marina, thanks for sharing it. Label mock-ups help a lot to know if the label design works in context or not. I like the concept, my only observation is regarding the central character, and it is more considering that it is a commercial product, they would probably put a problem due to the nudity of the character, in this case, it would be enough to cover it with some lianas, in a similar way to how I did with my project for VML wines: https://www.behance.net/gallery/41611441/VML-SB-Label

Hi Randy, thank you very much for your feedback. I hadn't fallen for that idea! I thought that nudity sells, in this case trying to be irreverent with religion. But yes, I would like more subtle covering the character and integrating it with the vegetation. I really like your example!
