The course was brilliant I absolutely loved it. As someone who has cast my own sculptures and made welded steel sculptures in the past. I wanted to learn to make things hollow from the start, as I now have a kiln.
I wanted to get back into Sculpture as this is my love… and this was just a brilliant start for me again. I enjoyed Cristina’s instruction it was clear, and she is knowledgeable and personable. I love her work it is inspiring and a beginner could do this I love that the sculpture is made with a pattern it’s like dressmaking. Cristina has inspired me to get back into Sculpture and I thank her for that.
I decided to not glaze her instead I have painted her, and will seal the paint with matte varnish - I didn’t want a shiny finish as I wanted more control over the colour when you glaze so many things can change
I would love to take another course with Cristina Córdova. It has taken me a year or more to finish this sculpture because I am slow, and an eclectic artist in other mediums.. and sometimes I just procrastinate but here she is…
@lachata912 thank you so much for taking the time to write your lovely message 💕 she was my ‘Sea Lady’ for the longest time until the title eventually emerged 😃
She's so lovely ..the expression on her face i love. 💕 Also Cristina has a book on how to sculpt a full body sculpture..it's very good she is such a great teacher 😊
@sphkir I have cast heads before this is the first time I have made a hollow fired head - I like the way Cristina has taught this class. I am on my second head.
