I loooooved this course so much by Elena. I think it was so well structured and I was watching late yesterday evening to finish it, then go over couple of important bits today and gathered my materials to start designing and making my toy. I did create the pattern myself but used the geometrical shapes for size/proportion purposes. I had the elephant character in my mind at night and was settled to do that. I used some of my favourite threads and also made the red leather tail end. There are couple of bits that I could improve in how I sew and make the pattern but happy with the first attempt. Even managed to take out my sewing machine after more than 10 years. Have some more animal ideas to create and hope this will add to my artist/crafter journey as I love making beautiful gifts for friends children and this is also inspiring me for my kids art workshops. Thank you and good luck to everyone!

Teacher PlusOh this is amazing job! I think your elephant is perfect. I really love the proportions and all the lines. To be honest elephants were for me always something I couldn't make - I was always redrawing the trunk lines and it was always whether to big or too wide. You did a great job. The trunk is well proportioned, I love the legs and arms shape. And the most important - you have unique your own pattern! Congratulations!

@efi_little_things thank you so much! This feedback means a lot and I am so inspired to make more. I totally understand the challenge with elephants but I think I have stayed true to my subject as I sketch and draw a lot of elephants and have read about them too over the years. So maybe that has all helped.
I will be planning to do some additional patterns of this elephant and may also share them here🙏

Teacher PlusYou actually have inspired me to try an elephant again! Yours is an absolute star wit this tassel on his tail. Keep making them!
