Finally completed my project for this course. I ended up moving forward with the roller-skates theme based on the late 80s to early 90s era. The color palette that I chose from the mood board I created was a no-brainer. I knew I was going to implement it regardless of what I would choose as my subject for this final piece. Overall, I am satisfied with the result, but I must say I am more proud of my journey to get to this point because I really took my time to complete each project and gave myself the space to follow all the steps as I considered them to be useful for the final result.
@jayroeder I am looking forward to your feedback as always and congratulations on this wonderful course!
Also, I ended up ordering one of your books: “Lettering Alphabets & Artwork” and I am very excited to receive it!
This was an incredibly fun process that took me out of my comfort zone and allowed me to create art which was imperfect, but charming and it gave me the freedom to explore different methods of approaching my artwork. Not everything has to be realistic, not all pieces have to take an incredibly long time to make. The point is to have fun and to create meaningful pieces that resonate with others.

Teacher PlusThis is incredible, Natalie!! Ahhh, those colors and patterns really complete that 80s/90's vibe. I love seeing the process that an artist uses to get to the finished project—thanks for sharing it! You really nailed this one : )
Also, thanks for ordering my book—that means a lot! Keep in touch, and don't hesitate to share artwork or reach out moving forward. I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Thank you so much Jay!
I truly appreciate your feedback and I appreciate you taking the time to respond to each and every one of my posts. I want to emphasize that aspect because just as you mentioned in the beginning of your course you wanted to devote time to respond to those who reach out to you just as Jon Contino has done with you.
It’s important to stay humble and to want to share your knowledge and expertise whether there is monetary gain involved or not and it’s nice to know that despite the success, the followers and the workload there is an actual person behind the brand who cares about their supporters. While obviously one cannot respond to every single post, making the effort to check in is definitely noticeable and appreciated.
You are a fantastic teacher and your course was very nicely organized while you also made sure to provide students with actionable steps to create their final project. I truly never imagined creating hand-lettering art even though I always admired the aesthetic and you broke it down in such a way that made it seem much simpler.
Also, I am very happy to say that I received your book in the mail yesterday! While I didn’t have the time to properly read it, I couldn’t help but look inside even for a quick minute and I was extremely excited to see that it is an extension of this course and you have provided so many different hand-lettering style ideas. The layout is wonderful and aesthetically pleasing. I have no doubt that it will be a great source of inspiration and I can’t wait to start more projects! I love that I can have everything regarding hand-lettering in one place.
Congratulations on your course and your books and I am looking forward to seeing what other projects and courses you may create in the future!!

Teacher Plus@kaplaninatalie Wow, I'm sorry I missed this comment. This means so much to me, Natalie. I have always made it a point to be approachable and open to anyone interested in lettering, while always being humble. You absolutely crushed this course, and I'd love to see more of your work in the future : ) Enjoy the book, and thanks again for all of the kind words along the way... this is why I write books and teach, because of people like you.

@sugar_pop Wow, thank you so much for your comment, Michelle!! Really happy to know that my intention to create a late 80s to early 90s atmosphere has come through and that you pointed out all the aspects that I tried to focus on in order to make everything come together :D
