So, let's begin the process of the concept piece. Fisrt of all, I read the brief that I choose and made questions for my self, I did a brainstorming of words to looking for on the internet, then I pick from places like google or pinterest references.
I picked my references thinking about What it is look like the space diner, when I had enough refenreces I selected which were the best or fits best, and this was my reference board, I did it in Pureref.
At this stage I had the references so I began with my first design ideas for the exterior of the diner, I took some photos to photoshop to combine it and made some interesting ideas.
With a lot of designs I refined it, looking for some interesting shapes/silhouettes, then I pick the design that I think fits best and made the frankestein design merging parts from other designs.
After that I did the frakestein design I began the process of the concept piece. I knew that I wanted the space station looked big and as it is located in somewhere in our galaxy I had to use elements for scale.
As you can see, I use some spaceships in order to add depth and storytelling. Also, I try it to keep the values of the diner readable so I was always looking at a window in grayscale. In the very first steps I was nervous about begin the piece, so I began with the planet to lose that fear of fail, after that everything was perfect.
When the concept piece was done I started to organize everything, and I did my portfolio page.
I hope you like my design, and if you have any feedback let me know in the comments.
