@Hanoi Morillo, thank you for this course, it was very helpful to me!
I re-evaluated the distractions +, and above all I realized that I didn't use many of them, and if I used them I felt like I was wasting time!
These are my two weeks, maybe I'll add a little more Energy + if I see I'm tired
@la_lulu this is fantastic!!!! Please keep us posted on the evolution of your Cal. You might have to split the longer studio slots into smaller one to add in some spaces for distractions. Let us know how it goes!
I loved the course but missed
- How to set this up in Google Cal. Should I create new agendas or the same agenda and color code myself?
- How to deal with incoming requests? When designing a week according to my energy, my team(s) and projects don't work on the same energy/timeline. When they book meetings in my agenda, they will see my available slots and if my slots are designed with multiple agenda's (auto-color code based on agenda), will they see all agendas if they are internal team members? or only the agenda I shared with them?
I'll dive into this myself and set it up later today, then iterate based on what I'm learning. This would have added a lot of value to the course.
Also, dealing with children. How does that impact your energy? It's very hard (for me), especially working from home, to deal with all the unexpected circumstances that become a distraction.
@workflow Hi there! Thanks for your question/comment.
- Google Cal: you can use the calendar tool you prefer. I use Google Cal but it could be whatever you prefer. The idea is that you simply apply the best practices around energy & color coding to your current calendar. You can pick the colors you prefer and that make more sense to you and change them if any combination doesn't work. Just make sure to take note of what each color is. If you have 2 agendas, one personal & one for work, I do suggest merging everything into one so you can see everything at a glance.
- Incoming requests: if you share your Cal with your cowokers, they'll see the blocked spots (in the privacy settings you can select to appear as busy or free, they don't need to see the details of each entry) Something you can do is to leave open the spaces that you want to enable for team meetings and block the rest. So for example, let's say you know that on Friday from 10 to 11am, you could have a meeting if someone wanted to. Then leave that spot open so it can be booked.
- Kids: do you also have to deal with home schooling?
Thank you very much for the Hanoi course! Excellent course, your presentation is very clear, I will be applying it and he commented on it. Greetings from Uruguay, Daniela
Yesterday night I started the course and today I woke up with a crazy desire to finish it. It was the best Domestika course I've ever taken (and I'm addicted to them lol). You are EXCEPTIONAL and transmit a lot of energy. I'm going to start my ideal schedule based on my energy and concentration. My respect for you.
