Wow! This is stunning. What I love about this is the placement of the mends and the choice of color. The bright orange looks amazing on the neutral background. I'd be super interested to hear if you used silk to mend the silk jumper? Or something else? It's so cute and neat. Great job!
Hello, thank you. I knitted the sweater myself, also with headstock I can buy from a local spinning mill. The thread I used for the mending were samples (smal pieces) and I do not know the quality. But possibly also silk. Now I am knitting a jumper with mohair and wool (also headstock) and I would like to try to do some "mending" with mohair (also samples).
@les_folies_de_zaza I am just in love with this sweater! Please keep your eye out on our instagram where we will be featuring your work this week!Could you please let me know your IG name?
@ellen_saville hello Ellen, so nice. i am working on a second one, I will post a picture when ready ( I did the knitting, but not the mending yet)
On IG I am les_folies_de_zaza
I really like that you left a couple threads from the actual sweater in several patches. It gives an extra sense of unity(?) to the patches and sweater as a unique work of art. To me the sweater is saying "Yes, although I have a few weaker spots I'm still every bit as beautiful as before!" 😉
So much to love about this piece from the color choices to how you woven it in. The sweater has so much character and life; dare I say it’s even better than the original. :)

very nice. The repairs give the sweater a cheerful extra.
