My first pixel art character creation

I love cutsie characters and the bishoujo warrior genre, so I was inspired by the references I already had saved in Pinterest. I thought about combining my love for cute characters and animals, so this first girl has a cat companion. I also chose the pine forest because I felt like it was a little bit easier for a beginner like me since they're mostly just straight trees, although I had to study about some of the rules of tree drawing for sure it was worth it and I learned a lot with this course, both in the lessons and outside studying by myself.

I used Pyxel Edit, Lospec for color palettes, Pinterest for inspiration and reference, and a Wacom Bamboo Tablet which I already used a lot for digital art in Photoshop and it was very much useful for making pixel art as well.

I really enjoyed the aesthetics the pixel art style has and the possibilities of creating very unique characters and also for very unique worldbuilding when thinking about storytelling.
