My project for course: Illustrated Stories: From Idea to Paper

I decided to do a spooky themed haunted house for Halloween.

Here is the rough draft. I tried to make it so that the house would have some depth and dimension with a few fun elements added in.

This is the inking before the color is added. I did add a few more details before I applied the color.

Base color and a bit of shadow added here.

Final result.

Overall I really like how the project turned out. I've only used water colors a few time and this was a fun chance to experiment and try things out. Adding the details at the end really gave the piece some life and made it more visually appealing.

I really enjoyed this class! This is exactly the style I want to create in and this class was extremely helpful in learning how to make art that feels more hand made and vintage.
