Mike Martin

I work in a maximum security prison to pay for my painting habit. I enjoy doing portraits because of the dignity a painting of a person brings to humanity. Dignity in a prison is hard to find. I am hoping to start painting classes in the prison soon. I also love doing portraits of animals. I work in oil because I love the texture and layers.
