Hi, I am Marjolein and live in the historical city center of Leiden with my partner and 3 cats full of character. I am the owner of AliandLizzy.com, a blog about creativity and my journey in designing my own patterns of stuffed animals and muppets.

Ever since I was a child I was fond of stuffed animals. While my mother used to sew our clothes when we were kids, I learned a lot of sewing techniques from her. My first stuffed animals I created when I was 7: very happy looking creatures. Fast forward, in 2015 I rediscovered the fun of creating these characters. Nowadays i’d like to explore different techniques like sewing, crocheting, knitting or muppet making.

In my daily life I work for an international company managing projects or advising on process and resources optimizations. Crafting is a nice and creative way for me to escape the daily routine of my work.
