Good day everyone.
I'm always has been interested in all creative domains: drawing, music, dance, cinema, literature, graphic, history of costume, and nature. Yes, because nature for me is a master of creativity. Notice how in repeating it never repeats, even though it repeats the cycles and always uses only four elements and three strokes: point, curved line, and straight line.
I studied classical music, drawing, movie editing, a little bit of jazz dance, and a little bit of acting.
Decades ago after working in Milano as a freelance writer for a few magazines I moved to Paris in France where I worked as a documentary editor for almost 15 years. In Paris, I also directed a fictional short movie and a documentary that was broadcasted on tv.
I always have drawn.
For the last 17 years, I live in the south of Tuscany where I finally have a tiny atelier at home.
I mostly work with gouache, watercolor, and pencil on several surfaces. For example this last year, I like to paint people on upcycled cardboard packaging. The packaging makes a beautiful framing for my characters.
Sometimes I paint women I admire, some other times my portraits are fictional, women's faces that pop up while I draw. I need to get lost in the creative process, to forget my ego: what a relief🙃
