Hello! I am Jasmin, the designer-owner of The Rabbit Tribe and Rabbit Rabbit Creations, my Etsy stores that showcase the products of my creative processes. I design PDF sewing patterns and planner stickers – a blend of my two passions – clothing and planners – which allow me to express myself with colour, line, texture and drama.

I am a primary school teacher by day, and a passionate creative...I love to design. I love colour and shape; I love putting together separate elements like clipart and typography, or fabrics and garment design, to create a visually appealing product.

My two stores reflect this passion - The Rabbit Tribe has been open since 2015 and Rabbit Rabbit Creations since 2013. The Rabbit Tribe is the sister store of Rabbit Rabbit Creations. The same high-quality design and finish that is feature of our Rabbit Rabbit Creations products, is also embedded within The Rabbit Tribe. Our ethos is stylish, simple and beautiful, and we take pride in all our creations.

Where do my designs and creations come from? They come from my love of, and long history with, sewing, designing and clothing construction - combined with my obsessive need to be creative and the love of making simple, functional, classic designs that enhance our living space – whether that be decorative pieces, clothing or planner accessories. No fuss, no frills - just simply, stylish, classic lines that are clean and uncluttered, allowing natural beauty to shine through.

All our creations are made by us in our home studio in Australia. We ship worldwide, but take pride in being 100% Australian made.

Growing up, our house was filled with industrial sewing machines, huge cutting tables, massive rolls of fabric and beautiful designs; and patterns were always drafted and graded in-house by us - it was an important skill that was taught in tandem with professional tailoring techniques.

My parents were both clothing manufacturers … sewing, patterns and design is in my blood. My mum used to sew in my bedroom or I guess you could say I used to sleep in her studio! I learned how to sew many, many (many!) years ago, by sitting on the sewing table and watching my mum fly through piles of clothes. One minute they were random jigsaw pieces, the next beautiful garments!

When I grew, and made my own home, a studio of my own became essential. However, it has only been in the last few years (since moving into our current home) that I have really found my oasis, my true centre, my beautiful cave, my studio. It is still a work in progress, but I love it. It is MINE!

My creative passions took a side-ways step when I discovered the analogue beauty of paper planners in early 2014. I had always used paper planners, but the stark black-and-white of purely functional planners had been my experience. I stumbled upon the wonders of creative paper planning, and the rest is history. I have created my own line of functional and beautiful planner stickers and accessories that enhance the productivity of pen and paper planning. From minimalist to over-the-top decoration, I have tried it all. I have loved every minute of playing around with a variety of planner designs and layouts, sticker uses and applications; as well as the true joy of discovering some amazing artists, who I have worked with, to develop our line of products. I take great pride in every product we have to offer. They have been designed with passion of purpose and an eye for function and beauty.

I find inspiration in the most mundane of everyday events and surroundings. I design every day. I sew every day. I plan every day. I sketch and dream every day. Designs, and twinkling beginnings of designs, wake me in the early hours of the morning.

I have finally found my true home.
