I was born in and grew up in Mexico City. My father is a visual artist and a writer, so as a child I was always around artists exposed to painting and drawing and lots of art. I came to the USA in 1983 and studied accounting at the university. I worked many years as an accountant. We love traveling, on our travels we always visited museums and love the idea of starting painting. In 2015 we visited San Miguel de Allende a small town in Guanajuato, Mexico. It was then when I was exposed to a lot of the art and color that I grew up with so I decided to start painting in oil, I got ideas from artists works and had a lot of fun doing it. However I had never been exposed to Watercolor painting, until October of 2019 when I saw a video on you tube and decided I will follow the painter along, I was fascinated with the watercolors and how they had a mind of their own and I was not in control, but it actually and always looked like something. Then I continued to follow other artists and to learn from free You Tube tutorials in watercolors. But unfortunately, I did not get rapport or advice from the experts or artist I was following. I learned lots of techniques and different methods so I thought I wanted to get in a class to continue to improve and see what else is there. I am passionately in love with watercolors and fascinated with all the art we can create with it. I live in Dallas, Tx with my husband and two cats, we have two daughters both independent and on their own. We run a small Etsy business.
Thanks for allowing me to learn from you.
