Hello, My name is Dom. I have always liked drawing and painting but never took to it professionally. I studied to be an English teacher, teaching English as a foreign language. At the age of 39 I decided to enter a course in Fine Art at Maria Curie University in Lublin, which I really liked but unfortunately did not complete. I would like to revive my skills and perhaps take to painting professionally. One of important events in my life was a year spent in ashram in India, which gave me a different perspective on life, values, cultures and made me change my lifestyle. The time spent in India also influenced my perception of colour, I began to appreciate vibrant, shouting colours in all sorts of combinations unseen in Europe .It also sparked my interest in ethnic portraits.
Another area of my interest is jewellery as my husband is Goldsmith, and we deal with jewellery. In 2003 we lived in South Africa, where the jewellery market is rich in designs and hand made jewellery and of course diamonds. This is my biggest influence.To be able to design and make my own jewellery has been my dream for a while now. I hope to make it come true.
Meanwhile I also started making ceramic table tops, which I sell locally in Poland, in a small town Kazimierz Dolny.
