Dayana Jiménez López

I started my professional journey working as a project designer in an architecture & lighting design consultancy firm in Venezuela. There, I had the opportunity to work alongside project managers and coordinators who taught me the primary duty of being a consultant besides being a designer:

“We are the bridge between engineering and our client needs, where technic and creativity come together”

Late after, my eagerness to learn new things, and the right set of circumstances, led me to the lighting design division where I became fascinated about how a good lighting design combined with architecture was able to transform beautiful places into magnificent spaces capable of communicating through atmospheres, and how
complex and challenging this job can be.

Ever since, I’ve been working as a lighting designer in different projects such as Hospitality, Residential, Work Spaces, Retail and Industrial Area, from Venezuela, Mexico, Aruba, Italy, and Chile.

Throughout these years, I’ve upskilled many technical abilities but have faced the opportunity to work in a different country has taught me others, equally valuable, soft skills: persistence, a growth mindset and assertive communication.
