Jaime Sabaté

I’m a CGI artist and a freelance designer based in Barcelona with a global state of mind. My work focuses on the connections between the virtual and the analog but also those between design and art.

I believe in timeless and conceptually adequate projects that connect digitally with analog through experimentation, individual appreciation and love for the material. These qualities endow digital processes with a craft character. To achieve this I rely on the use of printing. The printing press generate an intimate relationship and its tactile nature offers a very valuable resource to create a physical connection with the piece.
We are what we document. I am attracted to creative processes that are constituted as cultural ecosystems. Working with artistic references allows me to link design with art and thus, with something real, that has lasting authority and meaning.

The best thing about design is what you learn from people and from different areas. Every day should be an apprenticeship; I enjoy to face the unknown and learn something new. And that's why I love what I do.
