Jacques Mollentze

Born restless. A soul searching for new meanings, for love, and for self.
Jacques is an artist, photographer and art director living and working in Cape Town, South Africa. It is here that he has found a bed. A central point to return to in between meandering around the world. It is in this part of the world where he works as a freelancer, artist and creative volunteer. Whether it’s on the back of a camel in the middle of Morocco, or the bustling streets of Ho Chi Minh City or Hong Kong, working as a nomadic creative allows him the freedom to work wherever his heart (and WiFi) takes him may that even be the beaches of Bali.

Having a travelling business allows for his work to evolve as he does.

Finding inspiration in everything from the people, to the architecture, to the life lessons learnt whilst travelling. Constantly learning about how the world works, and how he works inside the world.
This can be seen in his art.

A constant study of the male form and how, as your view on the world grows and changes, so does your view on self. A unique style of painting and photography that is forever growing. Forever changing.

In a way, he himself is the art project.
Jacques brings this knowledge and style into his art direction. Incorporating his use of clean, open spaces from his paintings and photography to bring a minimalist design to his work.

From logo design all the way to full 360º branding, he has worked with various international clients. Producing work for food and drink brands, as well as pop-shops all over. His life mission is to find a home within himself. To find where he belongs. To be creative.
