As a child, I used to watch my grandmother make blouses. There was something about sewing and creating clothes that sparked something inside me, even though I never really had the opportunity to learn or develop that interest.
Later, in my early twenties, my brother bought a sewing machine. I started playing around with it, making simple alterations just for fun. To my surprise, many people liked what I was doing. One day, I challenged myself to make a suit from curtain fabric. It was a real struggle, and I had no formal training, but I was determined to finish it.
When a professional tailor saw the suit, he was genuinely amazed. He told me I had a natural talent. Unfortunately, I later lost the sewing machine, and that dream was put on hold.
Years later, I began sewing again by helping my wife with a few alterations. I even made two dresses for her. They weren't perfect, but they were good enough to impress many people who saw them.
Ever since then, I've had this strong feeling that I could become a fashion designer—or at the very least, create truly beautiful and unique pieces. Deep down, I feel there is a hidden talent inside me waiting to be developed. All I need is the opportunity, the guidance, and the right training to bring it to life.
