My sixth grade teacher encouraged me in the area of art. She was self-taught, primitive artist. I made posters for local events and children's parties. I have created hundreds of Art (trading) cards...miniature art the size of a playing card. I do mixed media, collage. I want to illustrate my journal writings and childrens books I wrote years ago when my children where young. I am 74 yr. old and inspired by children book illustrators Eloise Wilken, Gyo Fugikawa, Peter Spiers, Eric Carle. I love Grandma Moses, Van Gogh and Matisse.
