Erin Martinez Hazlett

I was obsessed with drawing when I was little- and I was really good, but I slowly lost confidence, let it go and then stopped completely. I didn't even try to pursue art in college.
Until recently, that is! During my master's degree I took a class on publishing children's books, where I worked as the designer on a picture book group project. I was proud of my work, and from there I realised that I still had potential.
From the Master's, I got recommended to a private client and have illustrated two picture books for them. This has been a lot of fun and a great experience, but I'm hoping this course will give me that final push and the discipline to write and illustrate my own book!
