Doug Lindquist

I have always been a fan of science and fiction. I would read everything I could get my hands on. My first real story came when I was twelve. It was 1973 and I was in seventh grade. We had just watched a movie about about the possibilities of life on Mars and what forms the life may have taken. We had to write a story about what we saw. I made up my own characters and types of life. I wrote about how the beings would communicate with us and the dangers of exploring another planet.

As I grew older and read more, I would imagine myself as one of the characters in the stories and what it would be like to live there. I took all the English writing classes in high school and some in college. I would write more stories but I shared them only with friends. The stories were well liked by my friends. I just did not have the time to really write seriously.

I worked Summer Camps with children for about fifteen years. The kids would ask me to make up a story and tell it to them at night right before bedtime. They always liked my stories and would ask for more.

Now that I am retired I have decided to do more writing and share it with more people.
