I studied Physics because I wanted to understand everything. But as I went deeper, it became purely mathematical and I lost my way. I had been interested in art at school, so after graduating I began to paint. I wanted to paint things that I had seen in my head, fantastic scenes and abstract ideas, and land- and seascapes. I began with oils but tried watercolour, pencils, crayons and pastels. I sold very few paintings. For a several years I was painting on silk scarves and selling them quite well. Now I use acrylics for fantasy paintings but I do online life drawing using pens or Conte @pauldodman7698 . I saw this course and realised that many of my paintings are illustrations of parts of an un-formed story, and that this might be a way for me to complete the circle of my art. I have studied art for many years and my influences are many, but the most relevant are Kay Nielsen, Chagall, Eric Ravilius, Vincente Segrello, Emily Bronte, Giorgio de Chirico and Atkinson Grimshaw.
