I am a teacher, ToD & Special Education; former art teacher. I sew, knit & make things all the time. I used to draw a lot when I was at school, & when my kids were younger, but have not drawn so much in the last 10 years or so, other than quick sketches to work out a sewing pattern.
Working from home during COVID I did not have a colour printer, so I borrowed a friend’s set of art markers to colour in some teaching resources. I loved the watercolour like feel of the markers, so bought my own & started taking photos of flowers & drawing flowers. Then
last year our lovely local butcher retired, and I had the crazy idea to sketch a picture of his shop as a gift for him. He loved the picture, and it inspired me to try to do more sketching & try some different techniques - hence signing up for this course!
