I would love to see your process! Let me show you an example: The Design and Sketch Take you time to make your own inspirational mood board. Remember that you can find inspiration everywhere! Challenge yourself and make a complete unique design. Then, make the sketch to make sure it's everything that you want.

The Cords Measure and cut the cords. Based on my experience, cutting cords 5-6 times the length of the final piece (or 10-12 times if it's mounted) works well for pieces with densely arranged knots. It’s always better to have extra cord than to run out mid-project! Knot.. Knot.. Start by knotting the top part of the placemat, keep working on the following parts of the placemat. I highly encourage you to stay focus during this process. Focus doesn't meas "stress", relax your self, enjoy the moment. The Placemat Add the final details to your macramé pieces, including creating wavy ends and fluffy fringes using a pet brush and hairspray. Remember to take as many breaks as you need during the knotting session to relax your back and fingers. I recommend you to keep a record of each design that you make, it'll help you remember what you've done, what worked well, and what you could improve next time.
