Exactly what I needed! Kristen is fun , easy to understand!

I loved Kristen's enthusiasm and calmness in her teaching method. I've learned the different stitches and decided to make a small hoop with my own design. It was a practice piece in which I used the different stitch types. I'm going to try her bigger piece and practice the embroidered writing. I'm so happy to have a hobby that can lead to gifts for my friends and family.

This class went way beyond my expectations. It was extremely thorough, from what materials to use to how to fix mistakes. Each stitch was explained and demonstrated well; easy to follow and understand. An unexpected bonus was the breakdown of the creative process—turning a vague idea into inspiration & later into a planned piece. Her honesty with her life as an artist & a person was unexpectedly raw, but beautiful, allowing us to see her as an actual being, making the process less intimating.
