Me ha gustado, ya que parecía algo complicado el llegar al resultado, pero lo hace ver bastante sencillo paso a paso, considero que debes tener conocimiento de pintura, ya que sino tienes algo base, sería un poco mas dificil.

Este curso me ha gustado especialmente porque son como 2 cursos (o más) en uno. La unidad 2, donde habla de los valores, colores, materiales... es casi un curso por sí sólo. Muy bien detallado y explicado. La unidad 3 también es casi un tutorial para el uso de herramientas informáticas que nos puedan ayudar. En la parte donde desarrolla la obra, Andrés explica también con mucho detalle su método.
Ahora sólo hace falta atreverse a "romper" alguna de nuestras obras y ver qué sale :)

It is a really nice course but it is definitely not for beginners. I have been painting realism for 3 years now and it took me a while to understand his technique. I can only assume anyone who has no experience in portraits or oil painting in general would be able to grasp it. He took 20 years to develop this style.
This is why i felt the first two units were not necessary. It takes time to understand the basics and cant be taught in one video. The advance techniques were very helpful!

Kal's excellent art abilities are very well documented with the photos. I found helpful the careful steps, close-ups, and repeat still photos of each step along the way.. The materials and tools used was very helpful, especially the use of the color wheel and photoshop to plan the painting. An excellent course at a very good price. Recommend highly.

It is okay

I was looking for more ideas on creating expressive portraits. I don't feel there was much time on different experimental techniques as there was more focus on just completing an entire painting. Instead I'd recommend the course by Torsten Wolber.

The course offers multiple ways of using creative methods to paint. It inspires me to think out of the box. It will take some efforts to digest the materials and be ready to try new ways of painting. Definitely it has broaden my perspectives.
