Enjoyed the mini art history segment at the beginning that relates to the technique he’s teaching. The process is built up in stages that demystifies the masters’ sketches. I had previously bought all these pencils over time, not understanding why or how to use them together! It’s helped me understand the sfumato technique, as I tend to lean towards a harsher approach. It’s the sort of course for which Chelsea Art College-or similar- would charge hundreds as a short course.

In this course, I learned a lot about the minimal baselines and shadows you need to apply in a drawing to bring your image to life. Learning different techniques from the early master(s) is also wonderful. By choosing the tools you like best, you can find your own way to prepare for, say, painting a masterpiece. Thank you Michele, I love all your courses and the way you narrate and teach.
