Glenn Larkin

I enjoy traveling and visiting art galleries and museums to enjoy the paintings and sculptures. Several of my favorite artists are Albert Bierstadt, Norman Rockwell, Frederic Remington and many others. As a child I would bicycle to a nearby museum to sit in front of one of Albert Bierstadt's paintings (Sierra Nevada Morning) and stare at it while wishing that I was at the very location in his painting. I have always wanted to have enough skill to draw recognizable portraits and beautiful landscapes along with the ability to paint them; perhaps using oil paint for the media. My only training was in public school when I was about ten years old. I recently found and started working through an Andrew Loomis book when I happened upon Domestika. My thoughts are that this course will help me learn new skills so that I can enjoy art even more.
