Connie Hall

I'm a 57-year-old woman who lives on five acres in north-central Missouri with her husband and three grown children. We have a few chickens, including a cantankerous Rooster, some honey bees, three dogs, and four cats. I grow herbs and make my own herbal oils, tinctures, and salves. I'm learning to spin fiber, knit, and weave. I've never really figured out what I want to be when I grow up. After high school, I spent four years in the Army. I have a BS in IT and have taken classes in other subjects, but none of it really lit a fire in me like the creative process does. I'm a singer and a writer and have always dabbled in visual arts. Last year for Christmas, my husband gave me a sketchbook and pencils. He told me that he's watched me doodle for many years, and thought it was high time I took it to the next level. I ignored him for several months, but finally decided he might be right, so here I am.
