Christopher Vidal

I was born in Malta and migrated to Australia more than a decade ago. My interest in art started from a very young age, I was always drawing and sketching. I attended a 3 year training in drawing at the School of Arts in Valletta Malta. However, I never thought that I will work as an artist since in Malta arts is only seen as a hobby rather than as a career, so for almost 25 years my career path was in biomedical science and research.
Almost a decade ago I tried to change my career path and switch into arts. So I trained myself how to paint the Australian landscape in oils and started selling art mainly through local expos and online. I sold art in Australia and overseas mainly landscape art and more recently still life paintings. My goal is always to improve my work and hence that is why I am here as one can always learn something new from everyone, even if it is a beginners course. My objective is to create more realistic work while executing the painting in a painterly manner.
