Krystine Knechtel

I have a degree in Fine Arts and Mathematics. I was the weird student who did their art logically and my math creatively, so I also ended up with a degree in Finance (as per my Art and Math Professors). Of course life happens and put the art away for quite a while. My best friend who is very creative (Graphic Designer and Web Designer, her house is her art box) got me back into art. I am so grateful for her doing so. I would tell her how much I would want to do something, like portraits, and her go to phrase was always, “So why don’t you.” I hear it in my sleep, gotta lover her. This year I am concentrating on portraits.

I am a Procreate Obsessive, I love this stuff. When I first started in Procreate I realized I didn’t need a suitcase full of supplies. This would be cheaper. I was wrong about Procreate being cheaper. When I got home from a vacation, I found websites selling brushes, paper, canvases, clip art. Well the cheaper went out the window. I was a traditional artist in watercolour, coloured pencils, and airbrushing were my favorites. I never wanted to get into oils because of the mess. Oh yeah, did I mention that Procreate is mess free. Gotta love Procreate.
