For my very first Domestika course, I worked on a series of social media posts for a design studio, using Figma as the main tool. The project is heavily inspired by Bauhaus but with a modern twist, applying fundamental graphic design principles like geometric shapes & the laws of perception, typography (serif & sans-serif), color theory and color palette selection, the use of grids & composition techniques.

I had to rewatch some of the lessons and go through the extra materials because certain concepts took time to fully sink in. But that process really helped, not just with the design theory but also with my Figma skills.

At first, I considered using Canva since I was already comfortable with it, but I decided to push myself and try Figma instead. It was a challenge at first, but I’m really glad I stuck with it. It’s such a powerful tool, and I know I’ll be using it a lot more in the future.

This project was a big step for me as a design newbie, and I’m super excited to keep learning and growing!
