Nature still has many secrets which make it, above all, mystical.
I have to confess that I have a great fascination for the supernatural and the exoteric, especially when it involves mother earth.
I frequently use landscapes as the main scenery of my paintings, especially those with large mountains in the background, some lake or river in the middle, and a foreground surface involved with trees next to the viewer. All those elements create a peaceful atmosphere where the mind can find a place for introspection and fullness.
The concept of this painting was To create an entity that is present and aware of everything, and I thought automatically of an all-watching eye floating in the sky. The idea is ambiguous, it can be a higher being, but I also like to think about a collective representation of humanity.
The painting process was quite simple and divided into three main parts, The underpainting, the final layer, and the detailing and final corrections. The whole painting was done with a few colors, a green solvent, and Liquin Original.
