This is a well-paced course, and Jane is both reassuring and inspiring; perfect if you are feeling somewhat nervous about oils. The early exercises are not too demanding but give you confidence in blending shades. I haven't finished yet but am excited to continue, which is exactly what you want in a course.

Absolutely fantastic! Jane is a very accomplished artist and excellent teacher. Her course is easy to follow and great as an introduction to painting with oils. The lessons are broken down into easy to follow steps and you can't help but feeling motivated and inspired by Jane's love of the subject. Very enjoyable.

I really enjoyed this course! Apart from the clear instructions and advice, what I liked the most was the fact that Jane really loves painting and she managed to transmit this felling to me: the feeling of joy and happiness when painting, something that most of the time we forget, working hard through rules and steps to achieve better results. With her words "Try it.... what do you have to lose?" she unlocked me and somehow I now paint more freely, more risky. Thank you!

Jane French is an excellent teacher, her method is calm and encouraging. The instructions are very detailed and clear to follow and she makes her process look incredibly easy to follow (I've not started painting yet so am sure that it cannot be that easy!). Very much recommend this course.
