I love botanicals and his instruction is inspiring, confidence building, engaging and easy to follow. It is so important that we remember that art is about the journey, and he encourages you to relax and enjoy the process and journey of creating! Like all classes on Domestika, the course builds the lessons really well so it is great for both a beginner and a more advanced student as well!

Es un curso fantástico. Lapin un profesor que enseña desde sus vivencias, transmite ilusión por lo que hace y pinta de maravilla. Estoy aprendiendo a disfrutar dibujando, con tranquilidad. Es un placer.

I have really enjoyed this course and Lapin's calm teaching style. I have learned a lot about working with stillness and have now the confidence, (after taking a deep relaxing breath) to draw what I experience with a fine liner! That's something I never would have tried before. I am now drawing every day and learning how to make the most of the wonders of watercolor. Merci beaucoup mon prof d'art Lapin x

Excelente curso, muy bien explicado. El profesor es muy claro y se puede seguir paso por paso. Muy recomendable para iniciarse en acuarela botánica.

I loved it, It's very relaxing!

I really enjoyed this course; the teacher is calm and engaging and gives very clear instructions. He's also inspired me to start my creative journey, as this was the first arts course I took on Coursera. Definitely not the last! Greatly recommended

I loved it. I leaned some techniques, but mostly it taught me to take it slow and enjoy the process. I like Lapin’s approach and style. Just what I needed. I may take another course of his.

Not really for beginners. I expected more techniques and more focus in how to go from the model to the paper.
Just observing carefully is not enough for beginners. Also, the camera focuses more on Lapins hands than in the watercolor process

Estou gostando muito de como o Lapin mantém o compromisso em conduzir o curso com o foco meditativo, proporcionando uma atividade de tranquilidade.
As aulas não se prendem fortemente em ensinar técnicas e severos exercícios para aprimorar seu desenho; a parte técnica ele ensina com louvor e o necessário, com suavidade, para te dar base ao que mais importa aqui que é relaxar, observar e meditar com isso.

Les directives sont précises, il nous accompagne tout au long du processus
Beaucoup de temps et de démonstrations sont pour nous des apprentissages
plus faciles a acquérir.
J'adore cette façon de rendre par l'aquarelle les fleurs, plantes et sa façon de nous y amener dans le plaisir et la méditation.

In my eyes this course requires many skills to bring with you already. I would have wished for more technical tipps for sketching plants and colour schemes: Just "carefully observing" doesn't make me understand how to transform the shape of a 3D object to paper, which i would love to learn, and the same goes for how to train the eye for understanding colour shades of an object and how to reproduce these sensations with my palette. It was an enjoyable course though, but maybe not for beginners.

I really liked that course. It's very relaxing!

This course is amazing. It’s very gentle and simple to follow. I can see the progress I have made already. Would highly recommend this course to anyone who is starting out in drawing.
