Wendy Wiemers

I am a Project Manager at a university working in grants and finance. I started "The Artists Way" program last year and it has been life-changing. As a mom and grand mother, I felt that I "lost" my true self and that I forgot that I am a creative being. Since then I have started playing guitar again after many years and exploring other creative avenues. I am passionate about the ocean and swimming and snorkelling in it often. When my youngest daughter left home, I moved to a beautiful house over the road from the beach and I swim a few times a week. I have started a podcast for women in midlife, and I would like to explore writing children's stories specifically about the creatures of the Great African sea forest near where I live to encourage children to be passionate and protective of our ocean.
