Sarah Stokes

Hello everyone! I’m a published wildlife artist working from the Worcestershire countryside as well as overseas painting, writing and running art retreats. I’ve been a teacher with Domestika since 2020 and I’ve really enjoyed seeing the community grow. I love looking at your projects and reading your feedback. In terms of what inspires my work, I’ve always had a love of nature and am constantly inspired by the birds and animals that live in the woodlands that surround my home and studio. I’ve been painting and drawing since I was young but didn’t return to art until later in life. After attending advanced classes in the U.K. and the U.S.A., I became a professional artist just over 7 years ago years ago. Since then, I’ve exhibited original work throughout the U.K. and in New York and have been part of gallery collections displayed on luxury cruise liners owned Cunard and P&O. I’ve teamed up with various publishers in the U.K. and overseas and have sold my work through major retailers such as Wayfair, Next and Amazon. I’m currently represented in the U.K. by Demontfort Fine Art, through their Whitewall and Clarendon Fine Art Galleries. I’ve also designed logos for educational bodies and bands, most recently for Robert Plant’s new band Saving Grace.

I have a real love for teaching art and love the joy that it brings to those using watercolour for the first time. I‘m Resident Artist at Arley Estates in Bewdley and as such get to hold regular classes at studios on the estate.
