Rebel Sparks is from Valenzuela City, Philippines. When she was young, she became fond of writing poems about nature and young love. But it was not until she was fifty years of age and after the demise of a dear friend, to whom she was requested to compose a dirge for, that her passion for writing was rekindled. Narratives and poems about worship, love, and the supernatural are her favorites to write, some of which she turned into songs. "Even After" is Rebel’s first short story written in English.
