My project for course: Basic Principles of Drawing People from Imagination

For my submission I wanted to take an idea I had to redraw a past work, and create something new while varying the clothing styles. The result wasn’t super planned out, but I’m pretty happy with it. I started thumbnailing in a notebook, then placed my figures in a way to show the movement in a scene, a process I discovered worked better when I flipped the piece in the later stages. I think I got the perspective ok, but it was a challenge, because I started with a 2 point perspective grid in Procreate. I still opted to keep the faces simple, The most rewarding was drawing the different cloth and learning where to place certain anatomy.
