Outside of her Window

Stella Albert is 35 ex-cop. She was great with talking with women and children crime victims. She left the force when she found out her baby daughter was born with spina bifida. Her husband couldn’t handle the disability, so they divorced . Her daughter died daughter soon after. Stella lost her spirit for life. She just works at the grocery store and volunteers at her daughter’s old school. She needs something to bring her spirit back up.

First Scene

Stella Albert flopped her keys in the bowl near the front door. She was tired after a long day working at the grocery store . Her mind filled with bittersweet memories of her daughter. Belinda. The sadness overwhelmed her sometimes. God, she needed something else to think about so she could get back living life fully.
Suddenly she heard a child crying outside her window. She ran out of her apartment building and hurried to small the child in a wheelchair. The child kept crying.
“Don’t be scared Li’l bee. Stella is here to help you.” Stalls smiled at the little brown hair, green eyed girl. She is about five and reminded her a lot of Belinda in her tiny chair. “What’s your name Honey?” The girl looked at her crying harder. “Can you talk?” Stella asked trying to get the girl to stop crying. She noticed a small, stuffed cat on the ground. She picked it up and started playing with the girl. The girl started giggling.
Then a young woman came out of the apartment building and walked towards the girl.
“Oh, is this your daughter?” Stella said.
The woman realizes Stella was there and, just ran away. Stella didn’t know what to make from all this.

Act 1
Stella Albert notices a little girl in wheelchair alone on the street. A mysterious woman came out to see then runs away. Stella brings the girl to police detective friend, Carl Emerson. Children’s services take care of the disabled girl now. Stella offers to care for her. She notices girl’s necklace with the name of Rosie on it. The girl nods that her mother is Rosie. Later at Acadia School Shirley Perkins knows girl Lucy, mother Rose from open house yesterday. Stella sees the woman from the morning, Shirley says she is a class helper sallie , and just happens to live in the same building as Stella. Sallie panics seeing Stella. She goes and argues with a young man who is turns out to be the driver of the billionaire donor. Gaylord Lancaster who gets a upsetting phone call.

Act 2
Later Shirley and Carl help with Lucy. No clue where Rosie is. Carl worries that Stella is replacing daughter, Belinda with Lucy. Stella says no, just wants to find Rosie. Carl gets a call about a disruption at the Lancaster estate . Stella goes along with him to help. She misses police work. Lanscaster long lost daughter,Sondra’s ex-boyfriend Olin Harris is beaten by driver . Lancaster thinks he kidnapped Sondra. She left town six years before pregnant and disinherited. She called him and wanted to come home with her daughter. Then Lanscaster gets a random call from a strange kidnapper. Olin always wanted money so he must be the kidnapper. Olin never wanted money and was heartbroken when she left. Then he sees Lucy’s stuffed cat as Sondra’s nicknamed Rosie . He is Lucy’s dad. Stella and Carl are shocked at the Sondra/Rosie things
Now investigating the kidnapping, they discovers that Sondra’s brother, Tad inherits everything if Sondra stays away. And he is the only other person who knew that Sondra was coming back home. Pressured Tad confesses to hiring Meyer to kidnap and just scared Sondra away & Sallie was going take care of Lucy during this but Stella found Lucy first. Tad, Meyer and Sallie are arrested. They don’t know where Sondra is now. Thing is. Meyer asked nasty friend, Brant Grimes to help. Greedy, he called for ransom. Lanscaster demanded proof. Grimes kidnapped Sondra again himself. Tad reminds of thinking of taking Sondra to a forgotten country house. They finds grimes and rescue Sondra.

Act 3
Sondra /Rosie is united with her family. She makes peace with father. Enjoying the investigation Stella thinks about being a pi and school helper, seeing Lucy every day.
