Given a printing terminology and a tool, find out what your term means and try to articulate it through a piece of print generated with your chosen tool.
The term was ghosting.
The tool the Risograph.
Painted signs are the ancestors of today's billboards. Some are gone, some are faded or worn out... but you can still find them in your city if you look carefully!
Ghost signs were reproduced by forcing ghosting on the Risograph. Special paper stock and previous paper treatment achieved the worn out look of the original signs.
This project has been featured in the GhostSigns blog, under the article Ghosting with Ghost Signs: An Experiment in Risography.
