Ellen Strachan

Hello, I'm Ellen Strachan, a former Physics Teacher and Pigeon Fancier turned Artist and Printmaker.
I make bold and characterful prints and surface patterns that retain many of the imperfections and unique qualities of hand-printed art. My work is inspired by nature of the British Isles and my local area of South-East London as well as the nostalgia of childhood and human curiosities.
I create because Art and Science are my yin and yang- both integral to the way I perceive the world and communicate ideas. I aim to bring the joyful energy of print into your life.
Pigeon Loft Prints offers my art for licensing and buyout. My original linocut prints and handmade items printed with my designs are available from selected stockists and I also lead beginners Printmaking Classes and offer a shop window painting and signage service locally in Greenwich, UK.
