Edgar Fell

My Name is Edgar Fell.
I originally started as an opera singer. Acting work with Eric Morris – teacher of Jack Nicholson and Johnny Depp – awakened my passion for method acting. I founded the Actors Workshop Vienna and coaches for three decades acting students. Serious illness made me quit and I had to find a more quiet way to fulfill my creative needs. So I started to write novels in german. Painting and sketching felt always alien to me, but with Adolfssons lections, I started to lüve my Lamy Studio Fountain pen and my Aquarell markers, as well as the painting directly with brushes.
My materials: a little paint box from Faber Castell as well as watercolor markers, my Lamy Studio with different black inks for sketching, always on a quest to find water-resistant ink, to withhold my watercolor painting. A Canson watercolor block and some single arcs of better watercolor paper A Molecule sketchbook.
Influences stage art by Ruth Berghaus, Neuenfels and Kupfer.
Comics like Batman, Superman, Lucky Luke, and Asterix dominates my childhood and made me read early. Peter Pan and Jungle book made good accompany. Greek Myth, Edda, Nibelungenlied, and Egyptian art side by side with star wars followed when I grew up. Hieronymus Bosch always fascinated me, Peter Breughel, Picasso, Miro, and Dali became my lightning rods in art.
