Michèle Landsaat
I spent 2 years living in Paris, France before returning to my native city, Seattle. I'm not traditionally trained in fine arts, but have learned from studying the many artists that inspire me and devoting my life to art. I'm known for creating intimate, intricate etchings that feature women, animals, and other invented creatures. The figures that animate my work bring strange and whimsical worlds to life. I often move beyond two-dimensional space in order to explore issues such as the rabbit holes of grief, the transformative potential of loss, and a new definition for true love.
