I'm Kali, creative artist at Maria Virou Átomo!

Maria Virou Átomo was born out of my curiosity, my desire to create, to reuse materials. Each Mary is unique, made with love, dedication and study. I say that I listen to stories and create Marias, when someone comes to me wanting a Maria I ask her to write me about who will adopt Maria, the person writes to me about what she likes, about what she believes, tell me what she wants, I try to absorb this information and from that first reading start to create, I look for references in who will receive Maria because we are unique creatures, full of stories and experiences that makes us unique, so the Marias are also always genuine.

The Marias are a rescue of the tradition of manual making, made with textile and non-textile residues in a completely handmade way. I always keep things that are meaningful, reusable to me, true miniature treasures, everything can be revised and redeemed, just look with affection to transform a burnt-out lamp into an astronaut helmet. The idea is to work with what I have at hand!
