Irma Higgins

Hi. My name is Irma Higgins. I was born in the Philippines and has been married to an American for 15 years. I currently live in the Vermont in a 13 acre land with beautiful gardens. I am currently working as Human Resources Manager. I have a degree in Psychology and Law. I am not a professional artist yet I am always creating something. I created greeting cards for friends and wrote poems for them that are very personal to the recipient. I sew clothes for my grandchildren. I make mandalas by dot painting in acrylic. I make rugs by rug hooking. My mom is a dressmaker and crafter. My husband gifted me an ipad 10 years ago and then I discovered an app for artists, called Procreate. Then I began designing patterns and I like them but I don't see them to have that saleable quality. I posted them in Spoonflower. Then I fell in love with watercolor patterns in fabric. I have no intention to become an artist. I just love the idea of becoming one. I am a dreamer, I guess. Outside my regular career, I dedicate 80% of my time painting, creating something. I have already started making ornaments for christmas. I love giving to people what I make. I am inspired when I see people like you who become successful in what they do. I believe that there is nothing that we cannot learn and that life is good but short so I will do what I love to do. Thanks
