Gillian Davis

Hello - I'm Gillian!

Dubbed the “architect of the unseen” by my clients, I love troubleshooting and getting things unstuck by teasing out and solving the organizational and leadership pain points that come with scaling businesses and teams.

I am a transformational leadership expert and published author, having worked with pioneering tech companies like Wetransfer, Spotify, and Typeform before founding my own globally recognized leadership consultancy, OverTime Leader where we help our clients define and shape the right leadership style and company culture that will enable them to scale fast, effectively, and inclusively.

Prior to founding OverTime Leader, I held senior leadership roles for some of Europe's most creative scaleups including WeTransfer and ustwo. After directly experiencing the highs and lows of scaling under pressure, I decided to double down on my passion for progressive leadership, in a more scalable fashion, by creating OverTime Leader.

I started my career in my family’s Executive recruitment business based in Montreal, QC, who is most notable for recruiting three of Canada’s astronauts. After my dad was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2009, I stepped up to run the business alongside my mother. It was at that time where I found the lack of practical leadership books for newly appointed managers and created the solution by co-authoring 'First Time Leader: Foundational Tools to Inspire and Enable Your Team' in 2014 (Wiley).

My clients have included founders and funders, CEOs and CTOs, designers, and entrepreneurs. But regardless of role, they have the same qualities in common:
+ High-achievers that strive for efficiency and excellence
+ Low ego and high humility, focused on empowering teams
+ The growth mindset needed to operate in a constant state of flow
+ Openness and willingness to do the self-work that comes with coaching
+ Executing a constant state of change that requires them to build their own playbook for leadership
