Filipe Pinto

Hi, my name is Filipe and I was born in Lisbon. I work in the computer area but I had training in graphic design and since 2012 I collaborate with Urban Sketchers Portugal. I like to draw architecture in the streets of Lisbon, especially trying to situate it in an urban context where people, urban furniture, traffic signs, vehicles and the whole atmosphere of a cosmopolitan city are included. In my youth, I was influenced by the Argentine Quino, by the adventures of Corto Maltese by Hugo Pratt and the classic Tintin by Hergé. With the course I intend to introduce new techniques and different materials in the drawings that I usually do and use the urban sketching observation drawing to arrive at a more conceptual illustration.
