Felipe Fernandes

I am an anthropologist and for the past 25 years, I have worked extensively in this field, particularly in defending the rights of social minorities such as women, Indigenous peoples, and LGBTQIA+ individuals. I have always been dedicated to crafts and handmade work, though tangentially, primarily during summer vacations. At 43, I discovered the Escola Baiana de Arte e Moda (EBAM) and fell in love with sewing. I am now taking my first steps in pattern making. I have fallen so deeply in love with it that I don't even want to leave the house anymore; I just want to sew, sew, and sew.
